Three Generations of Godzilla, Taken Apart
The GT-R story runs from a Group A homologation special that won everything it entered to a hand-built twin-turbo V6 that stayed in production for nearly two decades. This collection covers the three generations that matter most: the R32 that earned the nickname, the R34 that closed out the Skyline line in 2002, and the R35 that dropped the Skyline name and kept the reputation.
Each is a deconstructed frame: the car broken into labelled components — body, cabin, wheels, engine and drivetrain — mounted as separate physical layers rather than printed flat.
Questions
Which generation should I pick?
Start from the car they talk about. The R32 suits people who begin the story in 1989 and can explain what ATTESA does; the R34 is the one most often wanted by people who cannot legally own one; the R35 suits owners and anyone who followed its twenty-year run.
Is the RB26 engine shown?
Yes. Both the R32 and R34 frames include the RB26DETT and drivetrain layout among the labelled components. The R35 frame shows the VR38DETT instead.
How much does a display cost, and is shipping really free?
All three GT-R frames are $99 each. Shipping is free worldwide and normally takes 12 to 26 days; mounting hardware ships with every frame.
What are they actually made of?
Aluminium alloy frame, solid wood backboard, acrylic glazing. The RB26 and VR38 drivetrain elements are stacked as discrete layers, which is why the frame casts real shadows.
