Product description

RB26DETT. ATTESA E-TS. Godzilla Awakened.

The R32 is where the legend started. This display breaks it down: the body from above, the interior cabin, the four wheels, the 2.6L inline-six twin-turbo that launched a dynasty, and the full spec sheet of the car that earned the Godzilla nickname by destroying everything in Group A touring car racing.

Not a poster. A full spec breakdown with dimensional elements you can see from across the room.

Display Type Deconstructed Art
Craftsmanship Handcrafted
Frame Aluminum Alloy Frame, Solid Wood Backboard, Acrylic Glazing
Dimensions 8.1 × 6.1 × 1.4 in (20.5 × 15.5 × 3.5 cm)
The Car That Earned Its Nickname

The Car That Earned Its Nickname

Before the R32, the Skyline GT-R had been dead for sixteen years. Nissan revived it in 1989 with one goal: win the Japanese Touring Car Championship. They overengineered everything. The RB26DETT inline-six got individual throttle bodies for each cylinder. The ATTESA E-TS system could send torque to the front wheels before the rears even started to slip. The Super HICAS rear-wheel steering made the car rotate in ways that shouldn't have been possible at its weight. It entered Group A racing and won 29 consecutive races. Twenty-nine. The Australian touring car press started calling it Godzilla because it came to Bathurst and destroyed the local competition so thoroughly that the series eventually changed its rules. On the street, the R32 was more subtle than its race record suggested. A comfortable daily driver that happened to be hiding one of the most capable drivetrains ever put in a Japanese sedan. It was produced from 1989 to 1994, and it set the template that the R33, R34, and R35 would all follow: advanced all-wheel drive, a turbocharged inline-six, and the expectation that it would beat anything in its path regardless of price.

About Artovelo

Cars Stay With You.
We Frame the Parts That Do.

Some people remember a car by the sound it made. Others by a shape they saw at eight years old and never forgot.

We take the specific details that car people carry around in their heads and turn them into something you can put on a wall. A dimensional display with real depth.

Every piece is assembled by hand, built around the details only enthusiasts notice — the spec sheet, the wheel evolution, the homologation story.
