The R34 is the last Skyline GT-R, and the one that turned a Japanese homologation special into a global object. Built from 1999 until production ended in August 2002, it kept the RB26DETT twin-turbo straight-six and ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive, added a multifunction display that told the driver more than most cars of the era told their engineers, and then vanished — which is exactly why values have behaved the way they have since. This display takes one apart.

What's in the frame

The R34 broken into labelled components: body from above, cabin, wheels, the RB26 and drivetrain, and the specifications that closed out the Skyline GT-R line. Each element is mounted separately so the frame carries genuine depth.

How it's built

Each piece is assembled by hand, not printed. The components sit on a solid wood backboard inside an aluminium alloy frame, behind an acrylic glazing panel, with the parts physically layered so the display throws real shadows and changes as you move past it. Mounting hardware is included and it arrives ready to hang. Free worldwide shipping, with delivery typically 12 to 26 days.

Story behind

The Car That Broke the Gentleman's Agreement

Japan's manufacturers had a handshake deal through the 1990s: no production car over 280 PS. Everyone knew the GT-Rs made more than that. Nobody said it out loud. The R34, produced from 1999 to 2002, was the last and most refined Skyline to carry that polite fiction. The RB26DETT is one of those engines that earned its reputation the hard way. 2.6 liters, inline-six, twin ceramic turbochargers, and a factory rating of 280 PS that tuners could double with bolt-on parts and a proper tune. The block was strong enough to handle it. So was the ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system, which split torque between axles faster than the driver could think about it. The R34 V-Spec added an active LSD, firmer suspension, and the Multi-Function Display that became one of the most copied dashboard features in JDM culture. It was a car built for the street that could embarrass purpose-built sports cars on a circuit. Nissan made it for three years. The world has been obsessed with it ever since.
