Product description

VR38DETT. 600 PS. Godzilla Forever.

For nearly two decades, the R35 GT-R embarrassed cars costing three times as much. This display lays it all out: the body from above, the interior cabin with both door panels, the four wheels, the hand-built 3.8L V6 twin-turbo, and the numbers that made supercar manufacturers lose sleep.

Not a poster. A full spec breakdown with dimensional elements you can see from across the room.

Display Type Deconstructed Art

The Supercar Killer That Wouldn't Retire

The Supercar Killer That Wouldn't Retire

When Nissan launched the R35 GT-R in 2007, it ran a 7:29 around the Nürburgring. That was faster than a Porsche 911 Turbo, a Ferrari F430, and most Lamborghinis. It cost a fraction of any of them. Automotive journalists called it the supercar killer, and for once the nickname wasn't hype. The VR38DETT was hand-assembled by a single technician at Nissan's Yokohama plant. One person, one engine, a signed plaque on every unit. 3.8 liters, twin-turbo, paired with a dual-clutch gearbox and the ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system that could shift torque from 0:100 rear-biased to 50:50 in milliseconds. Nissan kept updating the R35 for eighteen years. Power climbed from 480 PS to over 600 in the final editions. The suspension was retuned, the aero was reworked, the interior finally caught up with the price tag. But the basic formula never changed: a twin-turbo V6, all-wheel drive, and the ability to humiliate anything in a straight line or around a corner. Production ended in 2025. It was the longest-running GT-R generation, and probably the most feared.

About Artovelo

Cars Stay With You.
We Frame the Parts That Do.

Some people remember a car by the sound it made. Others by a shape they saw at eight years old and never forgot.

We take the specific details that car people carry around in their heads and turn them into something you can put on a wall. A dimensional display with real depth.

Every piece is assembled by hand, built around the details only enthusiasts notice — the spec sheet, the wheel evolution, the homologation story.
