The GT500 is what happens when Ford stops being reasonable. A 5.2-litre supercharged V8 making 760 hp at 7,300 rpm and 847 Nm at 5,000, a TREMEC seven-speed dual-clutch that shifts faster than you can decide to, and an active valve exhaust that makes no attempt at discretion. Nought to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, redline at 7,500. It is a muscle car that stopped apologising for being a muscle car and started outrunning things from Europe.
What's in the frame
The car separated into labelled components and laid out as a reference document rather than a picture: the supercharged V8, the forged wheels front and rear with their actual tyre specifications, the performance cockpit and TREMEC transmission, the MagneRide adaptive suspension and Torsen limited-slip differential, plus the numbers that define the car. Each element is mounted as its own physical layer inside the frame.
How it's built
Each piece is assembled by hand, not printed. The components sit on a solid wood backboard inside an aluminium alloy frame, behind an acrylic glazing panel, with the parts physically layered so the display throws real shadows and changes as you move past it.
