Porsche has always put the tachometer front and center. Not the speedometer. The tach. Five gauges across the dashboard, engine speed right in the middle, and that layout hasn't changed since the original 911. It's one of those design decisions that became sacred.
With the 992 generation, Porsche did something new. They gave each variant its own tachometer color. The Carrera got a clean silver-white face. The GTS went dark with a red accent ring. The Turbo S wears a grey dial with a subtle "Turbo S" script. And the GT3? Bright green ring. Impossible to miss, impossible to mistake for anything else.
