Product description

Six Dials. Fifty-Five Years. One Badge That Never Softened.

Most GT-R collections start in 1989, because that is when Godzilla got its nickname. This one starts nineteen years earlier. The GT-R badge was born in 1969 on a boxy Skyline saloon with a race-derived twin-cam six, and it spent the following half-century disappearing and returning — never as a facelift, always as a statement. Six tachometers, six chapters, from the Hakosuka to the last R35.

What's in the frame

Six dials, each reproduced as a separate layered element with its own depth. The C10 (KPGC10) that started it and won relentlessly in Japanese touring car racing. The C110 (KPGC110) that arrived into an oil crisis and was built in tiny numbers before the badge went dormant for sixteen years. The R32 V-Spec II that rewrote Group A. The R33 NISMO 400R. The R34 NISMO Z-Tune — the rarest object in the frame. And the R35 GT-R NISMO, which ran from 2007 all the way to 2025.

How it's built

Each piece is assembled by hand, not printed. The components sit on a solid wood backboard inside an aluminium alloy frame, behind an acrylic glazing panel, with the parts physically layered so the display throws real shadows and changes as you move past it. Mounting hardware is included and it arrives ready to hang. Free worldwide shipping, with delivery typically 12 to 26 days.

Who it's for

The GT-R follower who can explain why the C110 matters even though almost nobody has seen one, and the R34 fan who wants the whole lineage rather than a single car. Because it spans the full badge history rather than one generation, it settles the usual argument by simply including everything. Works in a garage, a study, or an office where the dial detail can be read up close.

Not a poster. A wall-mounted collection with real 3D presence.

Redlines Change. But the Feeling Never Fades.

In 1969 Nissan put a race-derived twin-cam straight-six into a plain three-box saloon and called it GT-R. The KPGC10 — the Hakosuka — went on to dominate Japanese touring car racing so completely that the results stopped being interesting. Its successor, the Kenmeri KPGC110, arrived in 1973 straight into an oil crisis, was built in numbers you can count on a few hands, and then the badge vanished for sixteen years. When it came back in 1989 it came back angry. The R32 took Group A apart. The R33 spawned the NISMO 400R. The R34 produced the Z-Tune, built in single figures and now effectively unobtainable. Then in 2007 Nissan dropped the Skyline name entirely, replaced the RB26 with the hand-assembled VR38DETT, and spent eighteen years using the R35 to embarrass cars costing several times as much — right up to the end of production in 2025. Six generations, five and a half decades, and instruments that could not look more different from one another: a 1970s analogue face with a 10,000 rpm sweep, an RB26 dial with its unmistakable red needle, a modern NISMO cluster with the redline rendered in light. What connects them is not the design. It is the promise behind the number.
