Product description

510 PS, 9,000 RPM, No Turbochargers

The 992 GT3 is Porsche refusing to take the easy route. Everything else in the 911 range had gone turbocharged; the GT3 kept a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six that revs to 9,000 rpm and makes 510 PS on the way there. Underneath, the front suspension switched to double wishbones — a first for a road-going 911, taken directly from the 911 RSR race car — and the rear wing gained swan-neck mounts for the same reason. Lars Kern lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6:59.927, seventeen seconds quicker than the generation before it.

What's in the frame

The car separated into labelled components and laid out as a reference document rather than a picture: the high-revving flat-six, the forged centre-lock wheels front and rear with their actual tyre specifications, the swan-neck rear wing, the active front aero lip, the aero-optimised sport side skirts, and the stripped motorsport cockpit with its roll cage and seven-speed PDK. Each element is mounted as its own physical layer inside the frame.

How it's built

Each piece is assembled by hand, not printed. The components sit on a solid wood backboard inside an aluminium alloy frame, behind an acrylic glazing panel, with the parts physically layered so the display throws real shadows and changes as you move past it. Mounting hardware is included and it arrives ready to hang. Free worldwide shipping, with delivery typically 12 to 26 days.

Who it's for

The driver who specified a GT3 rather than a Turbo, and anyone who thinks the interesting number on a spec sheet is the redline rather than the power figure. A deconstructed frame goes deeper on one car than a lineage display does across many, so pick this when you know exactly which 911 they talk about.

Not a poster. A full spec breakdown with dimensional elements you can see from across the room.

The Last Naturally Aspirated Argument

The Last Naturally Aspirated Argument

By 2021 the case for turbocharging had been settled everywhere else. More torque, lower down, better emissions numbers, and no real cost to the way a car feels unless you were paying close attention. Porsche turbocharged the entire 911 range and the cars got faster. Almost nobody argued. The GT3 was the exception, and it stayed the exception on purpose. Porsche's motorsport division kept the 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six — an engine closely related to the one in the 911 RSR and the Cup cars — because a turbocharger flattens the top end, and the top end is the entire point. It revs to 9,000 rpm. Peak power arrives at 8,400. There is no shortcut to that noise. Then they did the rest of it properly: double-wishbone front suspension from the RSR, a swan-neck wing hung from above so the airflow underneath stays clean, centre-lock wheels, and a cockpit stripped of anything that did not earn its weight. Six minutes fifty-nine at the Nordschleife. Forget the destination — focus on the curves.

About Artovelo

Cars Stay With You.
We Frame the Parts That Do.

Some people remember a car by the sound it made. Others by a shape they saw at eight years old and never forgot.

We take the specific details that car people carry around in their heads and turn them into something you can put on a wall. A dimensional display with real depth.

Every piece is assembled by hand, built around the details only enthusiasts notice — the spec sheet, the wheel evolution, the homologation story.
